We just received a referral from a former client. Yippee! These are the best clients and getting a client referral is always a nice compliment. It’s also proof that you really need to stay in touch with your sphere of influence so that you have top of the mind awareness when it comes time for them to refer you. You can do an awesome job with a client but if they can’t remember your contact information they cannot refer you. Right away we sent a thank you gift to the family that referred us. Since school is just starting here in Arizona we sent a basket of back to school cookies as a thank you gift.

With that in mind, make sure you have a one year calendar with a system for staying in touch with your sphere of influence. And if you really want to build your business quickly, embrace the idea of sending out at least five hand written notes per day.
We are still busy preparing for our big neighborhood community short sale meeting. Ann in our office found a company called Arizona Flyer Service that will deliver flyers door to door for only 15 cents each, for a total of $247.50. We had to put the flyers into a bag that has a door knob hole. It may be cheaper to print onto door hanger style cards, but the flyers inside a bag presents itself very well.

–This is what the flyers look like inside the bag. We had some extra school calendars from our last farming event, so we included that in as many as possible.
The delivery company will start putting them on doors a week before the event. I live in this area so it will be super fun to see when I get my flyer.
We are also sending a postcard to all the homeowners that are on the soon to be foreclosed on list and that live within a certain zip code. There are 233 homes on this list.
